Doniphan County will be seeking a new economic development director.
Following a closed-door session at this week’s meeting, the county commission voted to fire Lawrence Mays, effective immediately.
No reason was given for the termination.
Mays had served as Doniphan County Economic Development Director since March of 2009.
It was the consensus of commissioners to advertise to fill the position.
