11 AREA ATHLETES NAMED ALL STATE FOOTBALL JF 12-5-11
The Topeka Capital Journal released the 2011 All State Football team which include 11 Northeast Kansas senior athletes. Seven selections are in Class 2-1A where Centralia‘s Michael Glatczak was also named to the All Class, All State Top 11 Team in Kansas. The State Champion Panthers also had lineman Alex Steinlage and Hayden Cross join Glatczak on the Class 2-1A All State Team. Austin Veach (lineman) and Marc Ellis (receiver) were both chosen from Doniphan West while Riverside had Ryan Johnson (lineman) and Timmy Miller (returner) receive top state honors as well. The only 8-Man athlete named All-State First Team was Cody Heiman (linebacker) from state runner-up B&B. Alen Kramer of McLouth was a top lineman in Class 3A, while in Class 4A, Holton‘s Rob Riederer was All State Linebacker and Jeremy Immunschuh of Perry Lecompton was tabbed as a defensive back.
