Four area players and one head coach have been selected as participants in the 2010 Kansas Shrine Bowl All-Star Football Game scheduled to be played July 31, 2010 in Pittsburg, Kansas. The players were selected to be invited by a process involving nomination by their own coach, voting by state-wide media, mediation by all-state team selectors, and selections by The Shrine Bowl coaches. The coaches were invited according to their team‘s finish in the KSHSAA football playoffs. This will be the 37th annual charity event benefiting Shriners Hospitals for Children. (Note: There were 409 nominations this year for the 68 slots.)
